Where the library is - The library is located  at 38 Jerusalem St. This is directly across from the Post Office and very close to City Hall.  The mailing address is P.O.B. 54, Safed, 13100, Israel.  Tel. 972-4-6820-968.

How to get here - The library is a short walk from the central bus station.  If you drive; there's very limited paid parking on Jerusalem St.  You can leave the car at the Wolfson community center & walk up Jerusalem St. to the library. A much shorter walk is from above the library at the Metsuda, just below the city park (see the map below for both) & also notice the blue dots for a suggested driving route.

                                           

Library hours - Sun.- 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.    Mon.- 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

                                 Tue.- 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.      Fri.- 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.          

Volunteering - Volunteers are welcomed at the library during the hours that the library is closed to readers.  It's best to call the library (See Contact Us ) to find out what days and times are best.

Paying - The library is free of charge.  There is no fee for joining or borrowing books.  

How long can I have a book - The library prefers that you keep a book for a maximum of 1 month, but do ask about an extension if necessary.

What kinds of books are there - The library has all kinds of books, including fiction & non-fiction.  Do come in and browse thru the stacks.

Magazines - There are many periodicals available for loan along with the books.

Children's Library - There is quite an extensive children's library for all ages.  Come in and see it.
